Santa Ysabel Preserve in Mid-December.

This is a 35mm print that I took with my Pentax K1000 camera last December, 2007.

I plan to post the latest on the WIP drawing that I am doing tomorrow if I can get any more work done on it by then. I did some today, but I want to do more before I post an update.

Morning Sun

Hi all! Here's another photo from the preserve taken with my 35mm camera. I just purchased (ordered) a Canon Digital Rebel XT today and hope to be taking pictures with it next week.

Happy New Year!

East Side of Iron Mountain

I saw this cross on the east side of Iron Mountain between Poway and Ramona. This photo was taken with my 35mm camera with manual settings.

Goosing Around

I took this picture a few months ago at Chollas Lake Park when I got my new Pentax camera.

Old View of Julian, CA

Here's a picture from way back in 2004 before most of the recent fires burned through, but after the Cedar fire. This picture was taken with a fully automatic 35mm camera from Volcan Mountain.

Rose Macro

I took this macro some time ago with my 35mm Pentax K1000. I think I overexposed it. I used a 70-210mm macro/zoom lens.

Santa Ysabel Rain

This is a photo of the large ranch surrounding Santa Ysabel. The fires that we are having started in exact terrain as this. In fact, they started about five miles straight from this location. I took this a couple of months ago when we had a little rain. It never greened up the place, though.

Lake Murray Rain Storm

This is a 35mm photo of the rain storm that could be heard from Lake Murray in La Mesa, California, but no rain fell. I used my Pentax K1000 to take this photo.

Morning Dove Photo

This is a photo I took a couple of months ago of one of a pair of morning doves that live on our apartment's property.

This was taken with 35mm film, Pentax K1000, 70-210mm macro/zoom lens.

Picture of Me

I thought I'd put another picture of me up. This was taken last January in Hellhole Canyon in the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.

I am nearly finished with my Wetcanvas project and will start working on the running horses, soon. I will probably post my next one for that WIP on Sunday or Monday at the latest, possibly sooner.

One of my favorite photos: Coachella Valley

I hope that this isn't a repeat of another post. This is a photo that is one of my favorites. I've even shown it in public, too.

It's a picture in the Coachella Valley Preserve just north of Palm Springs. This is a great place to visit and right now they don't charge anything to do so.

Culp Valley in August

Here is a picture of Culp Valley taken last August with my Pentax K1000 35mm camera. I think I used f8 at 1/125 or 1/250 second. No touch ups other than a levels adjustment was done.

I am having a problem working with my scanner again. I will probably be able to work it out, soon, but may not be able to list artwork again as I had planned. I will continue to do artwork and post them as soon as I can.

Another Mission Trails Picture

This is a 35mm photo that I took in June. I used a Pentax K1000 and I think I used f8 at 1/125.

Mission Trails Park

This photo was taken just before a large fire burned a good portion of the park. You can see all the dry brush is this summer photo.

I may have taken this with a fully automatic 35mm camera.

Grapevine Canyon Photo for Today

This 35mm aperture priority photo was taken last spring in the Grapevine Canyon Area of the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. On Thursday of this week, I am planning to make a trip out to either the mountains or the desert to take fresh photos.
