I have a new photo slideshow on Associated Content. It's a combination of 35mm and digital photos.

Santa Ysabel Preserve in Mid-December.

This is a 35mm print that I took with my Pentax K1000 camera last December, 2007.
I plan to post the latest on the WIP drawing that I am doing tomorrow if I can get any more work done on it by then. I did some today, but I want to do more before I post an update.

Chollas Lake

I think this was one of the first pictures I took with my Pentax camera last April. It is an area near where I live where I have often walked.

Santa Ysabel/Wynola California

This picture was taken in the Santa Ysabel preserve pretty far from Highway 79. I believe I was pretty far into Wynola when this was taken with a Pentax K1000 35mm camera.

Morning Sun

Hi all! Here's another photo from the preserve taken with my 35mm camera. I just purchased (ordered) a Canon Digital Rebel XT today and hope to be taking pictures with it next week.
Happy New Year!

On Volcan Mountain

This is a 2004 photograph that I took on a very windy day on Volcan Mountain near Julian, California. It was taken with a totally manual 35mm camera. Though it was summer, it was really windy and cold on this day.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I think I may have posted this 35mm photo before. It's some turkeys near Santa Ysabel that I took in September 2007.

Mission Trails Park in 2003

This picture was taken in either 2003 or 2004 before the Cedar Fire. It was a really dry year. I believe I took this in June or July. It was taken on the rim trail looking out towards Mission Gorge and Cowles/Fortuna mountain areas. The photo was taken with a totally automatic 35mm camera.
I had a drawing that I was working on, but didn't feel like it was working out right, so I decided to not post it.

Fletcher Cove in July

Here is a 35mm photo that I took on a cloudy day July using a 50mm lens on f5.6, I believe. This area is about two blocks from the coaster station in Solana beach. It's one of many small coves up and down the coastline in this area of San Diego County.

Horses Near Palm Springs

This is a photo that I took last year on the way to Morongo Valley. These horses were associated with a house near the Palm Springs Rest Stop. It was taken with an aperture priority camera and a 70-210mm zoom lens.

Rose Macro

I took this macro some time ago with my 35mm Pentax K1000. I think I overexposed it. I used a 70-210mm macro/zoom lens.

Santa Ysabel in Summer

This is a 35mm photograph of an area where one fire was burning recently, but it may be out by now. This was taken with my Pentax and a 50mm lens.

Santa Ysabel Rain

This is a photo of the large ranch surrounding Santa Ysabel. The fires that we are having started in exact terrain as this. In fact, they started about five miles straight from this location. I took this a couple of months ago when we had a little rain. It never greened up the place, though.
