Ground Squirrel

I didn't go to the 4th of July fireworks as the one in my area was so obscenely crowded last year with a lot of very obnoxious and rude people. Also, they cut down on celebrations and there just weren't any other ones close by to where I live.

So, instead of fireworks, which is what I would have posted, I am posting this photo of a ground squirrel that I took at Chollas Lake.

This is one of the platforms that the kids fish off of at Chollas Lake. It was empty the day that I took this because it was in the middle of the afternoon.

I think this was one of the first pictures I took with my Pentax camera last April. It is an area near where I live where I have often walked.
