Current Art Projects

I am currently involved with many different works in progress, but can't post them as yet. I am doing the December Different Strokes for Wetcanvas, waiting for supplies to finish the abstract that I started last week, and plan to work on a digital challenge for Wetcanvas, too. Ontop of that, it's Christmas time and am doing craft projects. So, if anyone was wondering why I wasn't posting my daily artwork, that would be the reason why.

WIP Contemporary Colored Pencil Drawing

This started out as an abstract, but it may look representational. I am only an hour into it and am no where near done. This is a 6 x 8 colored pencil drawing.

Work in Progress, glass pitcher

I am doing this as part of the colored pencil challenge for Wetcanvas. I don't know if I will be selling this piece in any way, though. It is done on Strathmore paper, 6 x 8. This is after about two hours of work.

Mission Trails ACEO, Work in Progress

First of all, I'd like to say happy Halloween to everyone who celebrates it. But, I don't have a "scary" item to post. This is an acrylic ACEO on canvas card that is in progress. I will probably finish it tomorrow. Part of the sky got cut off by the scanner.

Running Horses, almost finished.

I didn't work all too much on this today, but I am feeling that I am nearly finished. I would say that maybe two to three more hours of work and I may be done.

Work for today

Here is my work for the last two days. I may or may not be taking a break in order to do a Wetcanvas project for Different Strokes in the acrylics forum. I will not be able to post the work in progress or the actual item until after October 20th if I chose to do the project. It will probably take me less than a week to do it, so I will post photos during that time.

Running Horses WIP

I am continuing this work in progress. I just noticed that the light source will have to change to the opposite of the reference photos that I'm using. I will have to use some creativity on the lighting on the horses. I just hope my knowledge of light and shadows is good enough to pull it off.

Running Horses, New Art Project

I started a new art project. It's going to be a 16 x 20 acrylic on canvas. It's in an ugly stage right now. Usually, I work from the top down, but I wasn't sure about the sky. So, I started putting that in after the background mountains were placed. I may make modifications to the drawings of the horses, too.

Work in Progress Continued

I didn't have a whole lot of time to work on it today, but here it is. When I am finished, I will take a good photograph in order to get a sense on how this piece's colors really are.

Progress on current large painting

Hi! I had to take my car in for an all day repair, but I was able to do some work on my current large painting project. Of course, I mean large for me because I usually do works smaller than 8 x 10 inches. This is 16 x 20 acrylic on canvas.

Began a new painting project

Today, I began a new painting project. I have a favorite photo that has a lot of problems that I can't seem to fix. So, I am painting a picture of it. It will be an acrylic on 16 x 20 stretched canvas.
