2 Duckling Souls

This is an acrylic on loose canvas from a photo I took.  The two mallard ducklings didn't survive, but are alive forever in this painting.  They were about three days old at the time.

This art is available as a print on Fine Art America.  I haven't decided to put it anywhere else yet except in offline shows.

New desert painting

I haven't done a desert painting in a long time, so here is a small acrylic one ready for licensing (please contact me if you want to license this).  The original is 9 x 12 in size. This was done from a photo I took in the Anza Borrego desert.

Almost done on the killdeer painting

I am just about done on this acrylic painting. I am currently taking feedback from other artists so that I can put the finishing touches on it.

Relaxing near the San Diego River

This couple was taking a break near the San Diego River that goes through Mission Trails park on a warm New Year's Day.

This is a photo I took while I was at Lake Murray back when I was still using mostly 35mm film.

Update on the Colored Pencil Drawing.

I think I am going to call it done for now, save a few improvements in case I want to show it. It's 9 x 12 colored pencil on paper.

View of San Diego

Here is the view from on top of Cowles Mountain looking west towards Downtown San Diego and Mission Valley. I took this on 1/1/09 with my Canon 350D.

Hiking Up Cowles Mountain

Here is a photo I took on New Year's Day on Cowles Mountain. I took this once I reached the top. The view there is of Santee, Lakeside and you might be able to see Ramona, too. It was a little foggy that day.

Tucker Automobile

I thought the way the light fell on this car was interesting, so I took this picture. This particular Tucker Automobile is housed at the San Diego Automotive Museum in Balboa Park.

Mission Trails Park

Hello.  I took this photo a couple of weeks ago in the area between Fortuna Mountain and the Rim Trail.  I believe it's called Suycutt Wash or something like that.  It's a little valley between the two rims.

Mission Trails Black and White Photo

I decided to convert this to black and white. This is a photo I took at Mission Trails Park a couple of days ago.

Ground Squirrel

I didn't go to the 4th of July fireworks as the one in my area was so obscenely crowded last year with a lot of very obnoxious and rude people. Also, they cut down on celebrations and there just weren't any other ones close by to where I live.

So, instead of fireworks, which is what I would have posted, I am posting this photo of a ground squirrel that I took at Chollas Lake.

Mustang at the Fair.

This is a picture of a horse that I believe is named Quey. He visits the San Diego County Fair just about every year, or at least the last few years. He's not very big, about fourteen hands hight, but very calm. He seems a little wary of strangers, but not skittish or aggressive. He's half asleep here, enjoying his time in the sun.

I went to the San Diego County Fair today and this is one of the many pictures I took that I will post over the next few days.

Chollas Lake Fishing Platform

This is one of the platforms that the kids fish off of at Chollas Lake. It was empty the day that I took this because it was in the middle of the afternoon.
