"Fish Food Ducklings"

I've been having a ball watching all the little babies around Lake Murray. I call these ducklings the "fish food ducklings" because, when they first hatched, they were living in an area with a lot of large fish that could eat them. There are three, total, but I think there was four originally. One kept going off on his own and I think that's why he went missing.

Anyway, here's the two girls on the shore of the lake.

San Diego Fires

Today, much of San Diego is on fire, but my area is actually doing pretty well right now. We have mostly clear skies with a little wind. But up to the north, down to the south, and in the east county it is smokey and fiery. Here is a picture of the smokey area just to the north of San Diego. It was taken at SDSU at about 9:20am this morning.

I know I said I was going to post an update on my running horses painting, but I will do that tomorrow. I am making great progress on it.
