Killdeer chick, back

Colored pencil on Strathmore paper.  Now, my killdeer chick collection is complete and I will be putting all of them on products for my Cafe Press store.  There's a widget on the left side of the page if you want to see what I am selling with these drawings on them.

By the way, the drawing I did a couple of days ago is on sale on some items on CafePress.  An example of an item can be seen here.  I will be adding more items as times goes on.  This little chick and the one I did yesterday also will be on some items.

Update on Killdeer Painting

Another week has gone by and here is an update on my acrylic killdeer painting. Still plugging along.

Here is a photomerge that I did on the current killdeer painting in progress. It will be an 18 x 24 acrylic painting. It's very challenging for me because I don't usually do water and I am trying to put a lake in the scene. Also, I've never done killdeer before, except the chick in colored pencil.

I just realized that I never posted this quick colored pencil drawing of a killdeer chick on this blog. I am about to embark on a large painting of a killdeer family that will take me some time. I will be posting it here in thirds, but it might take me a while.
